There would be a pile-up of dead organisms since bacteria help in their decomposition. There would also, therefore, be no nutrient cycling in the environment. Bacteria are helpful in fixing important nutrients in the soil such as nitrogen. Animals would not be able to digest cellulose since this is helped by commensal bacteria in their gut.







Some of the consequences of eliminating all bacteria from an environment is that:

Bacteria is the microbe which are unicellular and are made up of prokaryote microorganism and which performs a variety of important functions.

As a result of this, we can see that there is a huge consequence if there is an elimination of all bacteria in the environment as there will be an accumulation of biological waste which will be harmful to the environment.
