A theater sells tickets for a concert . Tickets for lower level sells for $35 each , tickets for upper level sell for $25 each . The theater sells 350 tickets for $10,250 . How many tickets of each type were sold

Let x = lower level and y = upper level. You can then set up an equation for cost as:

35x + 25y = 10,250

and the equation for total tickets as:

x + y = 350.
