Rachel is selling T-shirts. It costs her $5 each week to advertise her T-shirts. She buys each T-shirt for $3.50 and sells each one for $8.00. Write an equation to model the amount of profit, P, she makes from selling x T-shirts in one week.

A. P = 3.50x − 5
B. P = 8x − 3.5
C. P = 5x + 3.5
D. P = 4.5x − 5

I'm almost certain it's D. Because if Rachel buys x amount of T-shirts for $3.50 each. And she turns around and sells them for $8. Subtract $3.50 from the $8 she sells them for which gives you her profit which is $4.50 in profit per T-shirt minus $5 each week for advertisement. Hope that helps.
