I believe the answer is Risk management.
Risk management refers to every effort taken by a company in order to minimize/prevent the chance of unfortunate events from happening.
These efforts could be taken in the form of Lawsuit Protection (Lawyer's billable salary) or operational accidents ( completion of an incident report and assessing policies)
