John has a card Collection with 24 basketball cards, 12 football cards and 8 baseball cards,. He wants to arrange the cards in equal piles, with only one type of card in each pile. How many can he put in each pile?

im pretty sure he can only have 8 piles with 3 cards in each pile

i think he can only have 8 piles with one type of card in each pile because there are only 8 baseball cards and there are only 3 types of cards
