The term that originally is used to refer to the experiences of Jews, and later Armenians, who were forcibly exiled from their homelands, but more recently used to include all groups that move from one part of the world to another would be diaspora. It is being used to refer to a scattered population where these people originate in a small area. It is more on the population moving away from their homeland.
