r = distance between the two object

If the distance between the two object is triples i.e. r = 3r

Then Gravitational force [tex]F^{'} = \frac{F}{(3r)^{2} }[/tex]  =

[tex]F^{'} = \frac{F}{9r}[/tex]

Thus gravitational force between the object will reduce by a factor of 9.
