can someone show me the steps to this equation.
z- 4(2/3) = 2(2/3)
it read Z minus four and 2/3 equals two and two thirds just to clear confusion that the 2 and 4 are not being multiplied by 2/3

so z-4 2/3=2 2/3
so 4 2/3=12/3+2/3=14/3
2 2/3=6/3+2/3=8/3
z-14/3=8/3
multiply both sides by 3
3z-14=8
add 14 to both sides
3z=22
divide both sides by 3
z=22/3=7 1/3
[tex]z-4\frac{2}{3}=2\frac{2}{3}\ \ \ \ |add\ 4\frac{2}{3}\ to\ both\ sides\\\\z=2\frac{2}{3}+4\frac{2}{3}\\\\z=6\frac{4}{3}\\\\\boxed{z=7\frac{1}{3}}[/tex]
