REVISED plans for the £100 million redevelopment of Poole's Salterns Marina have been recommended for approval by council planning officers.
The controversial application, led by businessman Richard Carr, proposes the demolition of the existing buildings in Salterns Way - including the Salterns Harbourside Hotel - and the construction of a six-storey replacement hotel, with 75 bedrooms.
Plans for a 60-bedroom hotel at the site were approved last year.
The latest scheme, which has sparked concerns from local residents regarding size and increased traffic, also includes 54 flats. This mix of two and three bedroomed apartments includes a seven-storey block.
