Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air. Rainforests tend to be very humid. The average humidity is between 77 and 88 percent. A tropical rainforest such as the Amazon Rainforest is humid because it’s on the equator and the air pressure is low there, causing water to be sucked into the atmosphere from the ocean.
