if you flip three fair coins, what is the probability that the first two flips will both be heads, and the third flip will be either heads or tails?

Respuesta :

Well, any coin has a 1/2 chance of being heads or tails, so for the first two flips to be heads it would be 1/2*1/2=1/4. Now for the third coin flip, I’m not entirely sure what it’s asking but for any one side it will always be 1/2 no matter what previous flips came out to be.
Hope this helps!
