Explanation: For over a century we have gone to the movies. Many classic stories have been transported to the screen for us to enjoy, learn, and express our wonder. Books have been around much longer than movies. Authors test our imagination, our inquisitive nature and our thirst for learning, information and interesting characters and plots. Movies are created from books. When screenplays are written, time and money enter into what we see on the screen.  Movies take liberties as far as character development, and plot which are many times, totally different than the stage created by the author of the book. Movies are straight forward- the story ends usually in 94 minutes. A good story lives on in your mind forever. As we read, we picture the characters in our mind's eye. Many times in the movies, the character you see on screen looks nothing like what you pictured in your mind. For non-readers movies are beneficial in introducing classic stories to those who otherwise would not be exposed, which is positive, and may cause non-readers to look up a particular author because of a movie they have seen. Movies are entertaining and have their benefits, but books last forever.
