brain's mother ordered a pizza thar had 12 slices for dinner. Brian ate 1/3 of the pizza,and his mother ate 1/6 of the pizza .how many slices were left?

first we have to figure out how many slices each of them ate

brian ate 1/3 of 12 which is 4
mother ate 1/6 of 12 which is 2

together they both ate 6

12-6 is 6

there were 6 slices left

Only 6 slices were left of the Pizza. Put 12 slices into a ratio 12/12. 1/3 x 4 is 4/12 so thats 4 slices brian Ate and 1/6 x 2 is 2/12 so thats 2 slices his mother ate. 2+4=6 Slices of pizza. 12-6 = 6 remaining pieces of pizza.
