Raul and his friends are hiking a 4-mile trail. After 2 hours of hiking, they turn off the path to find a spot for lunch, and then hike back to the trail and continue to the end. Write an inequality to represent x, the total distance they hiked.

So,

Making some major assumptions, such as the trail being circular, we can disregard the fact that "Group Raul" hiked 2 hours before taking a lunch break.  "Group Raul" hiked off the trail (violating Leave No Trace principles) to find a lunch break spot.  So they hiked at least 4 miles.

x > 4 miles

Because they have to hike back to the trail head, and the track is circular, they must hike AT LEAST 4 miles.
