Do you ever feel like everywhere you look you are bombarded by advertising? There are video advertisements during TV shows, in cell phone apps, and on the Internet. There are paper ads in newspapers and magazines, on billboards, and even on public transportation. Last week, I was riding home on the school bus and was startled to notice that there were ads on the ceiling of my school bus.

When writing an introduction of an argumentative essay, it is advisable that the writer talks about what the essay is about in a way that the reader can like it and would want to know more about it. So, if instead of writing the part that talks about the time he was riding home on the school bus (irrelevant information for the introduction), Mustafa should state a claim connected to his point of view so that the reader feels related and in that way, the writer is hooking the reader’s attention.
