DNA and RNA both are type of  nucleic acids and are polymeric forms of nucleotides. Nucleotide is a complex molecule made up of a pentose sugar, a nitrogenous base, and a phosphate group.

DNA and RNA differ from each other in these nucleosides. A pentose ribose sugar in a nucleotides forms a ribo-nucleotide, a monomer of RNA, while deoxy-ribose sugar forms deoxy-ribonucleotide, a monomer of DNA.

I hope this helps.
