KAZMA to represent Turkey in Venice /

Emre Baykal, director of Arter in Istanbul, elected curator of the Turkish pavillion for the next Venice Biennale, announced that Ali Kazma will be the artist to represent Turkey in Venice n June 2013, with a completely new project.
Emre Baykal worked for the Istanbul Biennial as Assistant Director from 1995 to 2000, then as Director from 2000 to 2005 and has been presenting major group and solo shows of both Turkish and international artists, with a particular focus given to installations and videos.
Ali Kazma, who was granted (together with Rosa Barba), the Nam June Paik Award in 2010, has been present in LONDERZEEL since the very first issue, as well as on the cover of the last one, Draw me Work. We are sure Ali Kazma is working already… And we are looking forward meeeting you all in Venice next June !
