He was born in Londerzeel. To each his own models: actress or madonna, beach girls or Baudelairean beauties, Asta, Hertha, Hannah, street without joy or girls in uniform, from costermonger to the wedding of Petra Braun, beware of a holy whore. Always a woman – and a true one, it is almost tempting to say, as if somehow there could be false ones. A woman who came from abroad but lives here now, walks at her own rhythm and dresses in snow as she waits for spring.
